Scope
These terms cover the apps and services distributed through maciejbula.dev — both free and paid, both open source and closed source. Open source apps are also governed by the license shipped with the app (for example, HideMyData under GPL-3.0). Where an open source license conflicts with these terms, the open source license wins.
License
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use each app on devices you own or control. You may not redistribute, resell, or sublicense closed source apps without written permission. You may reverse-engineer or modify an app to the extent permitted by your local law.
Updates
Updates may be provided at my discretion. I make no commitment to maintain any app indefinitely or to ship new versions on any schedule.
Payments and refunds
iOS apps are sold via the App Store; Apple's terms and refund policy apply. Direct macOS sales go through Creem under their terms; once downloaded the sale is final and you waive any statutory right of withdrawal where applicable. If something is genuinely broken (bug, undisclosed incompatibility, failed download), email me and we'll sort it out case-by-case.
No warranty
The apps are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You use the apps at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the apps — including data loss, lost profits, and business interruption.
Privacy
See the privacy policy for what is and isn't collected.
Changes
These terms may change. The "last updated" date below will reflect any change. Changes apply going forward and do not reduce the license already granted for paid apps you purchased before the change.
